It's prime time for graduation parties as many schools are out for the summer. Police say they will be on the look out for under age drinkers. Wendsday in Brownsville an adult was arrested for providing alcohol to three minors.
Brownsville police say that four people were drinking inside a white Cadillac in Brownsville and arrested.
They arrested 19 year old Ivan Gonzalez for driving under the influence. They say he was driving in a car with three others who were also drinking. Police found an open 12-pack of budweiser bottles. One of the bottles under the seat was actually spilling out beer.
Lt. Orlando Rodriguez says this is a time when police are especially on the look out for this type of activity.
"It's a time for graduation festivities and celebration, there will be a heightened concern with drinking and minors drinking at at parties."
Manuel Escobedo is a college student who attends graduation parties and sees minor drinking to often.
"I have seen young kids driving in a whole bunch of cases."
"Brownsville police say its not worth it to get behind the wheel while drinking and driving it could cause injury to another person in a car or could even be deadly."
"Unfortunately we see a lot of tragedy, I have seen a lot in my career that so many come to mind on graduation night with graduates who lose their lives or seriously are injured."
