U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers made two marijuana busts in which the drug was found hidden in car parts.
In the first seizure at the Progreso bridge, CBP officers found 24 packages of marijuana, worth $45,000 dollars. They found the drug when they noticed irregularities in the bumper on a Chevrolet Lumina and they arrested 29 year-old, Mexican citizen, Ramiro Cepeda.
In the second bust, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers picked up more than $53,000 dollars in marijuana at the Brownsville/Matamoros International bridge. CBP officers say, they found the marijuana hidden in the spare tire of a pickup truck. They arrested, 53 year-old, Victor Rivas Garrido for the four packages they discovered.
