The City of McAllen is seeing the unemployment rate dip down to the lowest level it's been all year.
The Texas Workforce Commission shows the unemployment rate at 7.7% for the month of April. McAllen has the second lowest unemployment rate among border cities, just behind Laredo, Texas. Unemployment isn't always an easy thing to predict, but the City of McAllen believes in two strategies to keep unemployment down. The city is still striving for an even more visible dip in the unemployment rate in the next few months.
