A man wanted for sexually assaulting a child in now under arrest after being stopped by Customs and Border Protection agents.
Francisco Antonio Leija was referred to a secondary inspection after crossing a port of entry in Brownsville. A check on his name showed Brownsville police had a warrant out for his arrest for continuous sexual assault of a young child. Agents at the Gateway International bridge then turned over Leija to Brownsville police and he is expected to go before a judge on Tuesday.
