The City of Brownsville did some training on hurricane preparedness on Tuesday.
Hurricane Berry was part of a mock exercise putting emergency responders through their paces in case a real hurricane hit the Valley. Cameron county Emergency Management Director, Johnny Cavazos says the mock hurricane would be landing between Brownsville and Matamoros. Cavazos say emergency centers for Cameron, Hidalgo, Willacy and along with other Texas cities simulated the exercise. Officials set up shelters and evacuating people in the hurricane's path and the exercise will continue through Thursday.
