Two Suspects Caught in Waco Texas.
MCALLEN - McAllen police announce that with the help of Texas State Troopers, two men have been charged for the Deutsch and Deutsch Jewelry robbery.
State troopers pulled over Marcus Ramirez,29, and Roland Sanchez, 35, Monday evening in McLennan County, near Waco. The men were pulled over for a traffic stop on Interstate Highway 35 for following too closely and driving in the left lane while prohibited. The state trooper became more suspicious when the two men's stories as to where they were going did not match.
A car search was conducted and an over-night bag with several pieces of high end jewelry was found in the back seat. Over 20 pieces of the jewelry found in the bag has been positively matched to the jewelry stolen at Deutsch and Deutsch.
The men were charged with trademark counterfeiting, a first degree felony.
Both men have extensive criminal backgrounds. Ramirez is currently wanted for burglary, evading arrest and stealing a car, in McAllen from a burglary in 2006.
McAllen police say both men have posted bond, but they may also face charges for robbery here in McAllen.
The investigation is still on-going and law enforcement is still looking for two other suspects.
