Hidalgo county is also on high alert taking precautionary measures and alerting all residents not to panic if the virus hit's the county. As of now no cases of the swine flu have been reported.
Hidalgo county and the county Health Department want to make it crystal clear even though there are no cases reported yet. They are prepping as best as they can just in case reports are confirmed, but as a precautionary measure the Hidalgo County Health Department has opened up an emergency operation center.
The county says that facilities in the county are supplied with medication if needed to try to prevent the flu. The health department says if you do notice symptoms of the swine flu, which include difficultly breathing and severe vomiting, contact a specialist.
The county has set up an emergency operation center and if any cases are reported in the county we will keep you up to date with that information.
