A very busy hurricane season is expected as Forecasters are predicting between three to six Atlantic Hurricanes.
Hurricane season is once again just around the corner beginning June 1st. Folks in the Valley remember very well the damage done by Hurricane Alex and Hurricane Dolly.
"Got completely flooded, the house almost raised up and had to go around 40-50 miles just to get to my house."
"The big tree in front of my house fell down."
"It was really bad, pictures so the insurance could see what it would be."
As another season approaches in just a couple Michael Hoff from Brownsville has been through plenty of them and is always prepared.
"To prepare we board up the windows we already have ply wood cut in place we keep them numbered and put them in."
In total there could be as many as 18 named tropical storms. Last year's hurricane season was one of the busiest on record with 19 named storms, including 12 hurricanes.
