LAREDO - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized over $600,000 heading to Mexico and over $400,000 in meth from coming into the United States in two separate seizures.
A 28-year-old U.S. citizen from Houston was detained at the Lincoln-Juarez Bridge in Laredo after an inspection turned up 60 bundles of undeclared cash.
In the second incident, two 19-year-old women from Georgia traveling in a commercial taxi were detained at the same bridge for carrying liquid meth in beer bottles.
