The City of McAllen is running about a week behind on it's brush collection schedule because of the large volume of dry brush created by the winter freeze.
City officials are asking the community to be patient as their crews are working diligently and even overtime to get back on track. In the meantime, while crews catch up, city officials ask the public to make the process a lot faster by not placing your brush over a water or gas meter. Also don't mix the brush with toys or household garbage. City officials say brush that is improperly placed will be yellow tagged and not picked up.
