The Department of Public Safety pushed their click it or ticket campaign to get their message across to teens on Monday.
During their "Teen Awareness" event at the Dodge Arena local, county and state law enforcement agencies focused on teen drivers and passengers speaking to them about the importance of buckling up. Because they are the age group least likely to fasten their seat belts according the the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Demonstrators were able to show the consequences of a roll over crash and also gave teens a look at the actual wreckage from a teenage driver's recent crash. Officials say they will continue cracking down on drivers and passengers not wearing seat belts across the Valley.
