Tornadoes rip across Oklahoma and Arkansas; system continues eastward push.
At least nine people have been killed in overnight storms that spun tornados across part of Oklahoma and Arkansas.
As many as two dozen others were injured by the storm system, which is now making its way towards the southeast.
Trees, power lines, and tractor-trailers tossed by the powerful tornado forced officials to close the main highway into Tushka, Oklahoma, hampering emergency crews from reaching victims.
Sunrise showed the devastating aftermath.
The same storm system then moved into Arkansas where it knocked a tree into a mobile home, killing an 18-month-old-girl and her father.
The worst may not yet be over.
The powerful storm system is expected to bring severe thunderstorms and possible tornados into the Tennessee valley and Deep South later today.
