The Texas Workforce Commission is giving South Texas College a big check to provide training for local workers.
The grant for $512,000 dollars will help workers from a variety of businesses and companies. The five business partners include Azteca Millings, Doctor's Hospital at Renaissance, McAllen Medical Center, Metal Processing International and the Emmsa Company. In total, 236 workers will receive training and the Texas Workforce Commission believes the Valley is headed in the right direction with creating growth opportunities for the local workforce.
