Missing cobra found inside reptile house at Bronx Zoo.
The search is over.
The Bronx Zoo announced late Thursday it had found a cobra that escaped from its enclosure last Friday.
The 20-inch-long, female, Egyptian Cobra was found just a few feet from her enclosure.
Despite not venturing far from home, the venomous vixen became an Twitter sensation.
Someone calling herself the "Bronx Zoo's Cobra" began tweeting the snake's adventures while on the run.
Tweeting from Broadway: "Anyone hears anything about this 'Spiderman' musical?".
To 30-Rock: "OMG! Tina fey totally just walked by me!".
To Wall Street: "Leaving wall street. These guys make my skin crawl.".
And even opening day at Yankee Stadium: "If you see a bag of peanuts inexplicably moving along the ground at Yankee Stadium today...just ignore it.".
The social-media savvy snake quickly grew a following of more than 200,000 on Twitter.
Zoo officials say while the tweets were fun, they couldn't lose focus on finding the fanged fugitive.
Now that she's safe and sound, thousands are awaiting her next tweet and hoping her city adventures are not over.
