Attention smokers your habit will cost you more starting Wednesday when each cigarette will carry about .12 cents tax.
On April Fools Day, the price for a pack of cigarettes will increase by a new .62 cent federal tax and the price for a pack will be about $6 dollars, with about 40% of the cost going to state and federal tax. The latest increase is to help children get health insurance and some smokers here in the Valley are not too pleased about the new price jump.
