Internet Service Disrupted Due to Fiber Cut

In Cameron and Hidalgo counties, thousands of people are without Internet service after a major fiber cut in Zapata.

Orbit Broadband officials confirm they began experiencing multiple network outages throughout the lower and upper Valley mid-afternoon. There is no word as to what caused the fiber cut, but officials say it's affecting multiple Internet providers throughout the Valley. Orbit Broadband says they're working on the problem and are unsure when the connection will be back up.
