A video made public weeks ago shows several Mexican military men crossing over into the U.S. on the Anzalduas International Bridge.
The truck enters into the United States and then turns around.
The incident captured months ago left many people wondering why the military would cross the border
and if they were sending officials a message.
Bridge Superintendent Rigo Villarreal says "the Mexican military had no type of intention to violate any boundary law, or coming over to our side. Itwas just an honest mistake."
Villareal insists their relationship with Mexico is strong and says they have no reason to feel threatened.
He adds, "we feel good. we haven't had any situations to make us feel otherwise."
At the time of the incident, the boundary line was invisible. Not anymore. Villareal took us over the bridge and showed us the changes they have made.
He says " we took it a step further and put some whit background and put u.s.a and mexico on the other side so its pretty clear now."
Even though some still question the motive behind the incursion, Villareal tells us its actually a step forward.
He says "This is great exercise for us to improve and to continue our communication with mexican customs and administrations on their side of the border. so we're fine. there's no problem with anything."
