Grief counselors were on hand at BISD schools to help students cope with loss of teachers and faculty who passed on during that tragic tour bus crash
Monday was the first day of classes at Cummings and Stell Middle School. There were counselors there and at several other schools to help students deal with the loss of their teachers.
At cummings middle school it was a somber day inside.
Students had a moment of silence for four BISD employees who died in the tragic bus crash a week ago.
15 grief counselors made up a crisis team to help students cope with loss.
Students at Cummings Middle School had a great deal of respect for Ana Bujanos and Rebecca Pemelton. Eighth grader Jorge Tovar had Rebecca Pemelton as a reading teacher.
Students were not the only ones grieving today.
Ana Bujanos, Rebecca Pemelton, Connie Sanchez, and Roger Burns will not be forgotten by their friends, family and school district.
The school district says that grief counselors will be available on campus for the students as long as they are needed to cope with the loss of the teachers.
