Three men are behind bars tonight for the murder of 47-year-old Ricardo Guerrero who was found dead inside his McAllen apartment Monday night. Two are charged with capital murder, the other for tampering with evidence. The suspects are Roma resident, 24-year-old Damien Rivera, McAllen resident, 25-year-old Luis Barrera and 21-year-old Juan Manuel Sosa from Pasadena, Texas. According to McAllen Police Chief, Victor Rodriguez, the men knew Guerrero through drugs. It looks like they went to the victim's house looking for drugs but when Guerrero had nothing to give them, the incident turned ugly. “Failing to do so, escalated the situation to the violence that resulted in the death of the victim in this case.” Rivera was charged with one count of capital murder. His bond was set at $250,000. Barrera remains in jail on a $10,000 for tampering with physical evidence. Sosa was arraigned this afternoon. His bond was set at $1 million.
