According to a Thomson Reuters Survey of 30 retailers, sales increased by 0.6% at stores that were open more than a year. It's the first monthly sales increase in more than a year and one marketing expert calls it a signaling that the bottom is near in terms of retail stagnation. Others say it's still does not mean consumers are ready to support a recovery to the economy.
