11-year-old saves neighbor from house fire.
A Jacksonville, Florida man says he is alive thanks to his 11-year-old neighbor.
11-year old Nick Dosztan was walking past his neighbor's home when he noticed something was wrong.
"I was walking by, and as I was walking by I seen a fire right there," said Nick.
"I was right here," said Walter Johnson as he pointed to the front of his house, "and Nick came up hollering my name, and I got up."
Johnson is better known as "Red" around his neighborhood.
He says Sunday was the first day of his new life.
"The fire changed my whole life," said Johnson. "Nick is a big hero in my book."
Nick said he was just helping his friend, who lives a few doors down.
Nick said he worried when "Red" didn't answer when he shouted into the house.
"He didn't answer, so I went to get a grown up and came back down here," said Nick.
"Made me feel so good. I'd do anything for this man," said Johnson, as tears welled up in his eyes.
Before the fire, "Red" was thinking of moving.
However, he says he has too many good friends here, especially the one that saved his life.
"I didn't realize how many friends I had until I woke up," said Johnson, referring to when he woke up and heard Nick calling his name.
"He's my best friend for like 6 years," Nick said.
"God was there, sent him down. Because if God wanted me to die, he would have told me that," said Johnson.
Johnson believes the fire started by accident after he transferred fuel from one container to another in his house.
