A group of Valley veterans are returning home after they spent the past week walking to San Antonio.
They marched to bring to attention to the world about the need for a veterans hospital in the Valley. A week long, 250 mile March is now behind this group of veterans and well worth it in the end. The cross Texas march is the latest way the group chose to portray the need for a veterans hospital in South Texas.
The Valley does have a VA Clinic but veteran Reynaldo Leal says it's just not enough and that is why they took to the streets documenting their entire trip on line. The group got the attention of local and national media and are seeing results.
Some of the veterans will go to Washington this week to continue pushing for a Valley hospital. For more information on their march visit: http://marchtosanantonio.tumblr.com/
