A Harlingen man died in a rollover on Monday and neighbors say the intersection where the accident happened is dangerous for drivers.
Harlingen police say it happened at the intersection of New Combes Hwy and Matz Ave. where a truck lost control and hit a telephone pole. Police say three people inside the cab and two others sitting in the bed of the truck flipped over when the truck hit the pole. Four passengers were taken to the hospital and treated and one was pronounced dead at the scene.
Currently at the intersection of the accident, there is only a yield sign and residents living nearby say something needs to be done.
