How much salt are you putting on your meal?
A new study from the Centers for Disease Control finds nearly 70% of adults should have no more than 1,500 milligrams of salt a day which is less than a teaspoon.
Data shows that the average sodium intake for Americans is more than 3,400 milligrams a day, but it's often not the salt shaker that's problematic. Researchers say most of our dietary sodium comes from packaged, processed foods and restaurant meals, where it can be quite difficult to determine the amount of sodium.
