healthreform I have no idea where you recieved information regarding "deep bleeding and constant pain", I have personal knowedge of bariatric weight loss surgery resolving DM; Asthma symptoms hypertension, certain forms of heart disease, and reducing some aspects degenerative joint disease. Anyone who is suffering the problems associated with obesity and considers surgery as an option owes it to their life to research the procedure; the surgeon and the hospital. Hospitals and surgeons that are ASMBS "Cerified Centers Of Excellence" with have will have programs and personell that will provide honest and accurate information, they will be the first pointout that surgery isn't for everyone..
Today health insurance providers have researched this controversy and have recgnized that the cost of a surgical procedure performed by a skilled provider (MD - Hosp) is more cost effective than the long term costs of treating diabetis' asthma; hypertension and heart disease.
