I've been recycling ever since McAllen started many years ago. It is a bit of an inconvenience because it builds up so quickly in my home...and that's with only 3 in our home!
Typical to the community as a whole, if there's nothing in it (monetary benefit) for the recycler, they won't participate! Even though one gets a few cents per pound on aluminum, for many, it's not worth the effort!
The majority of the immigrants settling in the RGV are not encouraged to recycle/doesn't exist!
