Saturday, November 10, 2012 - 9:11am

C.I.A. Director David Petraeus is stepping down from his post immediately after admitting he had an extramarital affair. According to a U.S. Official, The FBI had a tip he was involved with his biographer, Paula Broadwell, and they investigated the alleged affair to determine whether it posed a security risk.

Petraeus resigns just days after his boss won re-election but President Obama accepted it saying about Petraeus and his wife holly  " I wish them the very best at this difficult time"

Petraeus had been scheduled to testify at house and senate hearings next week on the terrorist attack in September on the American Embassy in Benghazi Libya that left four Americans dead including Ambassador Chris Stevens.

The resignation of the highly decorated former combat commander caught even Washington DC off guard.
