South Padre Island bans parking on some streets

Town of South Padre Island leaders approved an ordinance that bans parking on certain streets on the Island. They say the ordinance went into effect on March 1 and will last through September 15. It will prohibit drivers without hurricane or permit stickers that can be obtained at city hall. Some resident say this is bad for tourism.
