BROWNSVILLE - Gladys Porter Zoo's first ambassador Anthony Troiani sat with students from Raul Yzaguirre School Success to read "If I Were a Zookeeper" by Dr. Seuss on Wednesday afternoon.

It's part of the ambassador's duties to increase public awareness of the zoo and to promote reading in schools as well. This event is just the beginning of several other events that the zoo will be having in the future. Mr. Troiani said, "October 31st, we're going to have the Boo at the Zoo and I'd like to invite everybody to come down and tour the zoo and see the animals."
