Wrestling With Health Reform Repeal

House Republicans launch effort to repeal health reform laws.

House Republicans took the first steps toward trying to repeal health care reform Tuesday.

While the move is largely symbolic, sure to stall in the Senate, recent polling shows almost half of Americans now favor repeal.

The White House sees the debate as another chance to sell the benefits of reform.

A Health and Human Services report released Tuesday shows repeal could affect up to 129 million Americans with pre-existing conditions who are now protected under health care reform.

In the wake of the Arizona shootings, the tone was civil, the wording careful.

Republicans are now calling it job "crushing" legislation instead of "job killing" but the arguments for an against repeal were impassioned.

A vote will come Wednesday.

An end to the debate will likely take a lot longer.
