Woman's Body Found in McAllen Hotel and Police Search for Persons of Interest

MCALLEN - A woman was found dead in a McAllen hotel this afternoon and McAllen Police are searching for two persons of interest.

Police are still waiting for more information from the crime scene investigation, but video survelliance taken from the motel has police searching for two men.

The woman's body was found by house keeping in a room at the Royal Inn Motel on the 600 block of S 10th Street.

The age of the woman is unknown, only that she is an adult.

The Justice of the Peace has ordered an autopsy on the body.

McAllen Police said they aren't ruling anything out at this time.

"The cause of her death has not been determined as of yet. We are pending some of the preliminary investigation that is ongoing now the crime scene is being processed and that is where we are at this moment," said Sgt. Joel Morales Jr., McAllen Police Department PIO.
