Woman targets Border Patrol agent in robbery case.

A McAllen woman appeared in federal court on a case involving shots being fired at a Border Patrol agent this summer.
In June, officers began investigating the case of an off-duty Border Patrol agent who was fired at while visiting the Valley this summer. His daughter was with him at the time and both were unharmed in the incident. Investigators are suspecting that Claudia Gomez and five others for the shooting. Police say Gomez works as a card reader and who prays to a death saint for drug traffickers. Police say she planned to rob a client and accidentally targeted the agent in a case of mistaken identity. Her attorney has withdrawn himself from the case and a hearing has been rescheduled for Thursday.
