The sentence is two years behind bars for the death of a PSJA coach.
A jury found 21 year-old Analisa Ayala guilty of negligent homicide in the death of a PSJA coach. Prosecutors argued that Analisa drove recklessly after failing to stop at a red light and crashed into PSJA high school coach Josie Ayala, who is not related to Analisa Ayala.
The deadly wreck happened in February and emergency crews rushed the coach to the hospital where she died. Prosecutors wanted the maximum sentence of two years for Ayala because the accident happened while she was under probation for a burglary conviction.
