Woman Pleads Guilty in Abel Limas Case
The wife of a man on probation has pleaded guilty to being involved in a bribery scheme in the former judge Abel Limas case.
Karina Pena pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting honest services through wire fraud and is part of the bribery case involving former judge Abel Limas. Pena admitted she wired $1,800 dollars from Arkansas to Harlingen back in April 2008. It is alleged that $1,500 of that money was paid to then Judge Limas through a middleman in exchange for Limas to allow her husband to report to his probation officer by mail.
