A woman is behind bars after confessing she had more than five pounds of cocaine in her car.

Maria Luisa Sanchez is now charged with possession of a controlled substance after telling a Cameron county sheriff deputy that she had cocaine hidden under her seat. The deputy pulled Sanchez over for a traffic violation on Thursday afternoon. The street value for five pounds of cocaine is about $40,000 dollars.
