Woman arrested twice in one day for violating protective order

A Harlingen woman was arrested twice in one day for violating a protective order made by her boyfriend.

On Saturday, August 2nd at approximately 2:30 a.m. Harlingen police were dispatched to the 800 block of E. Tyler Avenue in reference to a domestic disturbance.

The male victim reported to the officer that his girlfriend, identified as Corina Carrion, 35, had slapped him across the face and that she was in violation of an emergency protective order issued back in June.

Carrion was arrested and released after posting bond on the same day. Later at around 1 p.m. police were called to the same residence in reference to Carrion locking herself inside the home and violating the protective order again.

The officer arrested Carrion on a second charge of violating a protective order and assault from the earlier incident with a bond total ling $13,200.
