In the 404th District Court, witnesses took the stand in the murder trial of Carla Ramos.
The 27 year-old woman is accused of participating in the January 2006 murder of 76 year-old Carmen Jacobson. Autopsy results showed someone strangled the elderly woman to death during a robbery in her Brownsville home. Ramos claims she did not know about the crime and says she's innocent of the charges against her.
36 year-old, Alfonso Lucas pleaded guilty to the crime in November and is sentenced to life in prison and a third man, 27 year-old, Jose Luis Gutierrez, is still awaiting trial.
