Witches vs Zombies
Witches and zombies from warring "haunted attractions" battle it out for business on the streets of Salem, Massachusetts.
Some are calling it a frightening battle of witches versus zombies right here, on the streets of Salem.
According to this police report, a group of witches handing out promotional fliers to a haunted house were physically "bumping" into zombies, handing out fliers to this haunted house.
Eric Jipson of the Nightmare Factory says "it takes time and effort out of our business, worrying about another business. We stand out there all the time and they don't want us there in front of their business, basically. It's just a competition thing."
The two haunted houses have been dueling for days. The owner of The Nightmare Factory admits to having someone badmouth the competitor's show after he says one of his younger employees was tripped by one of their workers.
Marshall Tripoli, Nightmare Factory Owner, says "I started a war and I'm not going to back down. I'm not going to say you're better than I am."
The co-owner of the Witches Mansion, Ken Mendozzi, is also seeing red, telling 7-News "my belief is this is a false report. No 'bumping' ever occurred. Witches will not be bullied by zombies."
Police are calling the incident trivial, but not unusual.
They said many Salem businesses battle each other during the October rush to Halloween night.
