"That why we come here we don't like to shovel snow anymore."
This is Winter Texan Joyce Ramsdale and her husband for West Central Illinois enjoying another beautiful day in Mission at the Mission Garden Resort which they have been coming to for six years.
Like Ramsdale the manager of the park says business has been good as many winter Texans are already here and expecting more on the way.
Ramsdales says she loves the location.
"Because of the stores and activities so much do here."
University of Texas at Pan American associates dean of the college of business administration Penny Simpson says winter Texans bring in some big bucks to Valley.
"$102 million direct impact that much they spend directly."
Ramsdales says she does not mind helping to Mexican economy either by heading over to Progresso for some shopping.
"Do you worry about security measures? Not really its seems secure, we have never had any problems."
That's the mindset for most of winter Texans we talked to and that's why they keep coming back. Simpson says the peak time for winter Texans is January and February.
