Florida police chase ends in frightening crash.

Police in Port Orange, Florida have arrested a man after he crashed a truck into a police cruiser and then led officers on a high-speed chase.

Kenneth Monte, 42, faces a host charges, including aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, aggravated battery, aggravated fleeing and eluding and driving under the influence with property damage.

Officers said they tried to stop Monte, but he put his pickup truck in reverse and hit a police cruiser.

Monte then fled, hitting several cars.

At one point Monte turned his truck around and chased the squad car.

Officers said his car rear-ended the cruiser, injuring the officer inside.

Eventually after hitting a curb, Monte's truck went airborne and landed upside-down.

Officers pulled him out of the vehicle and took him into custody.

Details of the extent of the officer's injuries were not immediately available.
