Several individuals are in police custody in Weslaco after police arrested them for being involved in a shoplifting operation.

After a month long investigation several men and women from the lower Valley were arrested for their involvement in the shoplifting operation. The individuals would steal clothes from retail stores throughout the Valley and resell the clothes. Weslaco officers went undercover and infiltrated into the operation to gather evidence.
