Weslaco man shot in front yard, suspect wanted by police

On Tuesday evening, a Weslaco man, was shot by someone in a vehicle passing by his home.

The shooting happened around 11:40 p.m. on April 30, when the man came home after arguing with an acquaintance.

The victim and his wife were standing outside their home when they spotted a white Nissan Sentra passing by several times. On the last pass of the vehicle, the victim walked out to the street and spoke to someone inside the vehicle.

A shot was fired, from within the vehicle, and the victim yelled out to his wife that he had been shot. The victim was transported to Knapp Hospital and underwent surgery.

The police description of the suspect is reported as being a older Hispanic male, mid-40's, gray hair, wearing a white shirt, with a possible name of Rodolfo or Rudy and driving a white Nissan Sentra four door vehicle.
