Water Break Shuts Down A Road For Three Days

In Edinburg, a water break has shut down Alberta Road which is located between Sugar and Jackson Roads. According to the Edinburg Utility Department, the road will remain closed until utility workers can find and repair the leak. News Center 23 got the report of this closure around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday. Officials said that crews on the scene anticipate it could take up to three days for the work to be completed and the road will be closed to through traffic.
School buses and those traveling to and from Ramirez Elementary on 1700 w. Alberta and the Discovery School on 1711 w. Alberta, will be allowed access to the campus.
Officials with the City of Edinburg stated they regret the inconvenience and asked for the public patience as they repair the leak.
