The Brownsville and Harlingen Police Departments are teaming up with Walgreens to collect toys for kids.

The collection kicked off on Friday and it's the 20th year for this group to gather and help the less fortunate children in the Valley. Walgreens donated $1,000 dollar check at a ceremony taking place at the Walgreens on FM 802. The annual toy drive provides toys for approximately 4,000 children and the goal this year is for 6,000 children. New, unwrapped toys for boys and girls can be dropped off at any Walgreens or the Brownsville/Harlingen police stations.
