Waking Up To Earl
Hurricane's rain and winds leave minor damage along the Outer Banks.
Hurricane Earl is now moving up the east coast after grazing North Carolina's Outer Banks.
In the dark of night Earl slid up the coast, its eye still off shore, but it's punishing winds and rain pounded the shore.
The barrage continued even as day broke.
Daylight revealed how lucky the Outer Banks may have been.
Damage from the storm appears minimal so far.
The biggest problems are from the water.
It's several feet deep in places stretching across low-lying roads.
The storm now heads north to a New England coastline that has spent the past days preparing.
