This was the day to register to vote.

If you didn't register, you missed your chance in Cameron County to register to vote in the upcoming primary, which is March 4.

You can register to vote any time, but after today, you will not be eligible to vote until the runoff or the general election later in November.

If your address has changed since the last time you voted, election officials advise letting them know immediately.

"If they need to change their address, they're residing in a new address...if they don't change their address by the end of the day today, they will only be able to vote in the precinct of their old address that we have on file, so if they've moved they're actually encouraged to come in and get that changed," said Cameron County elections administrator Chris Davis.

Voter registration ended at 5 p.m.
