Voter ID Bill Approved by State Senate

The State of Texas is on track to require an ID, like a driver's license, from voters before they can cast a ballot.
Approval came on Wednesday, on a 101 to 48 vote, as representatives agreed with Senators that voter ID is needed. There were a flurry of Democratic amendments offered before the final vote and Democrats appear ready to fight the measure in court after it's placed into law.
