Victim of Drive-by Shooting Charged with Money Laundering
MISSION — Police widened their investigation into a drive-by shooting that targeted a homeowner and on Wednesday the homeowner appeared in court to face charges of money laundering. Investigators found more than $50,000 dollars in the home owned by Carlos Coronado and police believe he and his family were targeted in the shooting. Mission Police Chief Martin Garza stated, "We're still investigating the shooting, we're still looking for a 30 year-old man, bald, in a white Mitsubishi SUV and we're certainly still providing assistance to the family." Police report that the family has been in the country illegally for the last four years.
