A political giant is remembered in the Valley and across the nation. Ted Kennedy lost his battle to brain cancer.

It was not too long ago when Barack Obama was campaigning for president. During that campaign Senator Ted Kennedy made a trip to Edinburg to give support.

Eddie Lucio III was seated just feet away from when Kennedy spoke.

"He was a joy to be around it wasn't about convincing him to come down and visit us. It was about him wanting to be here being part of history yet again having an impact on the process. "

The Harvard graduate leaves behind a political legacy.

"47 year at the highest office in country if not the world, the Senate is a small group that has such a big impact."

Many politicians and community members will never forget Kennedy.
