Most of us just can't bear to take down our Christmas tree until New Year's day or even later, but if you're already ready to bring your tree down the Valley Proud Environmental Council can help you. They are offering to convert your tree into chips and compost free of charge the catch is that you make sure you've stripped the decorations off the tree. Residents can drop off the trees at three locations in Cameron county which are located in Brownsville, Port Isabel and San Benito or visit www.valleyproud.org for more information.
